INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Simplus Realty Law Professional Corporation (“Simplus”) have adopted a privacy policy which limits what Simplus can do with personal information it receives. Personal information includes information about an identifiable individual. If you are applying to come and work with us, your resume and references would also be included as personal information.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Simplus may use or collect personal information about you to help us provide services to you, such as to manage solicitor-client relationship, to provide advice to you, managing Simplus client database, conflict of interest checks, respond to your requests, verify your identity, invoicing and process payments, improve or better our services, provide you with information regarding our services, develop or enhance our services, send you information or reminders, manage and develop our business and operations, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, protecting or defending Simplus from complaints or other allegations, or generally maintain our relationship with you.
DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Simplus will never sell your personal information to anyone.
Third parties, including parties outside of Canada, may gain access to your personal information or we may disclose your personal information to third parties from time to time. For example, when we are required or authorized by law to disclose; disclosure pursuant to consent; another provider may be involved in supplying you with some of the services; cloud backup; persons employed or contracted by Simplus may gain access to your personal information; electronic service providers (e.g. internet service providers) may gain access to your personal information.
Any disclosure to third parties is made on a confidential basis with the information to be used only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.
PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use standard industry practice to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information. We use a variety of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect personal information. We do not warrant that the safeguards we implemented are sufficient to protect personal information you transmit over the internet. Limited companies providing services to Simplus (e.g. cloud backup) may be located outside of Canada (including the U.S.A.) and your personal information may be stored in those jurisdictions and as such, your personal information may be made available to the government or its agencies under a lawful order made in that country (including the U.S.A.).
YOUR CONSENT
You are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by your action of providing us with your personal information. You may withdraw your consent by mailing a request to us at Unit 1, 100 West Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1H4, Attention: Privacy. Please understand that your withdrawal of consent will likely affect or limit our ability to provide services to you.
APPLICABLE LAW
This policy shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada.
